Artwork & File Preparation Guidelines

Production quality starts with file quality. We print and stitch exactly what you submit. Follow these guidelines to avoid delays, white outlines, blurry results, or embroidery issues.

1) General File Requirements (All Services)

  • Resolution: 300 DPI at final print size (for printing)

  • Size: Build artwork at the exact size you want printed

  • Background: Remove backgrounds cleanly (no soft halos)

  • Edges: Crisp, solid edges — avoid low-quality PNG cutouts

  • Colour Mode: RGB is acceptable for DTF and digital printing

  • Fonts: Convert text to outlines (AI/SVG/PDF files)

If a file is low resolution or improperly prepared, it will print as submitted.

2) Preferred File Types

  • PNG (transparent background)

  • PDF

  • AI

  • SVG

Avoid:

  • Screenshots

  • Social media downloads

  • Compressed images pulled from websites

These are typically too low quality for production.

3) DTF Printing & Gang Sheet Files

DTF transfers are printed exactly as submitted.

To avoid white outlines:

  • Remove backgrounds properly

  • Zoom in to check edges

  • Avoid soft feathering around artwork

Do not submit:

  • Blurry logos

  • Low-resolution photos

  • Designs scaled up from small files

If you need help building your gang sheet layout, contact jetstitching@outlook.com. Additional fee applies.

4) Embroidery File Requirements

Embroidery requires digitizing.

Important:

  • A PNG or JPG is not an embroidery file

  • Every logo must be digitized before stitching

  • Small details may need adjustment for thread limitations

Thin lines, gradients, and tiny text may not translate well to embroidery. If your logo was previously digitized, confirm the file format before sending.

If digitizing is required, that must be completed before production begins.

5) Sublimation Printing Files

Sublimation requires:

  • High-resolution artwork

  • Proper sizing

  • Compatibility with sublimation-supported materials

Not all garments work with sublimation. Confirm material type before ordering.

6) Picture Printing

For picture printing:

  • Use original high-resolution files

  • Avoid screenshots

  • Avoid images sent through heavy compression apps

Blurry images cannot be corrected in production.

7) Sizing & Placement

You are responsible for:

  • Confirming design size

  • Confirming placement (left chest, full front, sleeve, etc.)

  • Reviewing spelling

We do not resize or reposition files unless specifically requested.

8) Colour Expectations

Printed and stitched colours may vary slightly due to:

  • Fabric type

  • Thread type

  • Press temperature

  • Monitor display differences

We do not guarantee exact colour matching unless previously discussed.

9) Final Responsibility

Before submitting artwork:

✔ Confirm spelling
✔ Confirm sizing
✔ Confirm background removal
✔ Confirm resolution
✔ Confirm placement

Custom products are final sale. Orders are produced exactly as submitted.
